Vietnam - the colours and patterns | 2010 |

The North of Vietnam is beautiful for trekking with green rice terraces, winding slopes and foggy mornings creating a perfect harmony with the village people in some of the most colourful clothes and intricate patterns. Karst isles of Ha Long Bay in the midst of notoriously bad weather. Proud mountain tribes, cherishing their culture in spite of the distribution of tourism. Or because of? Faces kissed by the sun and thousands of smiles. Colours like indigo and fuchsia pink. And then the motorcycle traffic jams in Ho Chi Minh, the air sizzling hot and food pleasing my appetite. Or Mui Ne fishing village that feels like an oasis by the sea with huge dunes and abundant seafood.
