About Maris
Travelling and photography have been inseparable and inevitable for the Estonian travel photographer Maris Heinaru. Her interests rooted in real life reportage, she has set out to capture the life of ethnic tribes and countries on the verge of changes.
Maris is contributing images and articles to different publications, has cooperated with publishing companies and her photography has been used in interior design.
She has participated in a number of photography courses in the Estonian Academy of Arts and elsewhere but her main source of knowledge in the field comes from practice.
Having travelled extensively in Asia & Central/ South-America, Maris has recently also started to explore African countries and is always planning next destinations when at home in Estonia.
